Nandan Nilekani is and Indian entrepreneur and the co-founder and non-executive Chairman of the Board of Infosys, an India-based, multinational provider of business consulting, technology, engineering, and outsourcing services. Between 2009 and 2014, Nilekani served as the Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which is mandated with issuing unique Aadhaar ID numbers to all residents of India. Nilekani is the author of “Imagining India” and co- author of “Rebooting India: Realizing a Billion Aspirations”. He was named as one of the Top 100 Global Thinkers by Foreign Policy magazine in 2010 and was listed as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2006 and 2009. Nilekani is the recipient of the Padma Bhushan award, one of India’s highest civilian honors, as well as the prestigious Joseph Schumpeter prize for innovative services in economy, economic sciences and politics.
