Justin Forsyth joined UNICEF in May 2016, bringing over 25 years of experience in international development, advocacy and strategic communication to the UN children’s agency. Prior to this role, Mr. Forsyth has served as Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children UK during which Save the Children increased its impact for children by doubling its income, recruiting hundreds of thousands of new supporters, and pioneering new innovative strategies for change. From 2004 to 2010, as Special Adviser to UK Prime Ministers Gordon Brown and Tony Blair, Mr. Forsyth helped shape global efforts on development, climate change and humanitarian policies, including leading successful efforts around G8s and G20s. Prior to this, he worked for Oxfam from 1989 to 2004 in Oxford and Washington DC. Mr. Forsyth holds a Bachelor’s degree in history and politics from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom.
