Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh is Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Mauritania. He started his professional career in 1985 at the (by then) Ministry of Economy and Finances, after which he occupied several positions in this ministry and in that of Plan and Employment, becoming Minister of Fisheries in 1997. In 2003, Mr. Saleh joined the World Food Program where he occupied several positions. In 2021, he returned to the Government as Minister of Oil, Energy and Mining, a post he occupied until July 2023, when he took the Economy and Sustainable Development Portfolio.
